Milk and honeyed threads of beauty
Interlacing his hopes of passion and future

But this fairy tale is forgotten
and is encapsulated in the hardened dust of pearls
It does not shimmer
It fades…

It does not cry for wounds to be swallowed
but lies hidden in the shyness of age
struggling with the crippled breath of a stranger
unknown to me

I quiver youth
beneath the sand-papered stars
beneath the razor-edged tendrils of the sun

though I do not want to be afraid

I haveI have fallen in mistakes,
      foot after foot, wrong after wrong.
I have laughed in silence,
      because I can, even if no one knows what's so funny.
I have wept in bed,
      without a comfort because no one was there.

The Most Wonderful Things

Sometimes you look up at the sky and think, just think, like something in the stars or that great blue open sky councells you, and you ask questions, discovering. Thoughts come seeping out of your brain like a faucet turned full force. Worlds and people flash through your vision that you swear you've never seen before, but have created first hand. Welcome to #Writing-My-Soul!

The folders are specific, but pretty easy to navigate around. Please make sure you're submitting to the proper folder. Click any folder for specific information about them. All submissions will be reviewed before being accepted.

Folders are as followed;
From the Heart - Love and Romantic literature. Some emotional may go in here, but only if I feel it fits.
From the Mind - Philosophical and Sociopolitical literature
From the Spirit - Spiritual, Human Nature and some Emotional literature.
Please note, some exceptions will be made with each folder, depending on if I feel a piece fits there or not.

Member applications are not automatically approved. They are carefully looked through and approved or declined by ~RunningBear5858 If you're a member of hundreds of groups, don't watch the groups and only join them for popularity, or you just don't look nice, you don't have that great of a chance getting in.

Submissions are not automatically approved either. Quality, artist's comments and number of groups are looked over before a choice is made.

You may submit twice a week to the appropriate folder.

Do not submit your work to the group faves.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT Submit any work to the "Featured folder." That folder will be specifically for the best pieces in the group and the best piece that come out of prompts

We are not about popularity, we're about writing to make changes to you and to other people somehow.

We DO NOT accept submissions that are chapters of a continuing story and no fan fiction. A continuing story would take up too much of the gallery, and fan fiction are characters that are not your own. No exceptions.

If you wish for critique on your piece, add a dA critique request on the piece, or ask for critique in your artist's comment.

Any contest rules will be covered in a blog regarding it. Look there for any new information.

Please respect the admins and the members. If you have any serious problems with the group, an admin, or a member, please note ~RunningBear5858.

Hello everyone.

)

I'm trying to take it easy for the next couple of days, apologies if submissions are a little slow to get accepted.

This is really quick, but I'm looking for another contributor for the group. If anyone's interested, either note me (~RunningBear5858) or the group itself. Duties are fairly simple, they're mainly voting on the acceptance of the submissions we get. I'd also like a bigger staff for input on what should be featured.

I'm debating if I should join or not.... anything I should really know about this group before I make my final decision? I'm a pretty dark writer that usually writes from my mind and heart, so I was thinking this was a good group for me, but I'm not sure.

Take a look at the rules very thoroughly if you're interested. If you have pieces that fit at all into the subjects, then obviously you're fine.
Others join even if they have pieces that are not submitted into those certain categories. There are pieces that have certain "Heart" "Spirit" or "Mind" qualities in them, and as long as I can see them, then I'll accept. Other times, I will deny because the piece is definitely general poetry or straight fiction.
